PM waiting for full report on alleged kidnapping
KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said he will wait for a full report from the police, National Security Council (NSC) and relevant agencies before he reveals the details on the alleged kidnapping of a Palestinian involving a foreign intelligence agency.
“We wait until I meet the IGP (Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani), NSC director-general and other relevant agencies. I will get a report on this.
“The country is safe and people need not worry about their security,” he said at the Hawkers, Traders and Small-time Entrepreneurs Mega Fair at Dataran Merdeka here yesterday. He was asked to comment on allegations that Israeli agents are recruiting Malaysians to conduct operations here.
It was reported that the 31-year-old victim was rescued by the police after being kidnapped by a group of locals believed to have been recruited by Israeli intelligence agency Mossad to help the regime hunt down Hamas members in Malaysia.
On another matter, Ismail Sabri said he will promise to help hawkers should he be given the opportunity to lead the government again.
“The community of hawkers and small entrepreneurs is close to my heart. “I used to be a hawker in school. I sold lemons and fish at Pekan Sehari in Temerloh,” he added.
