PBM leadership crisis set to be resolved, says Sng

SIBU: The leadership crisis in Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) will be resolved in two days’ time, says party president Larry Sng.

“My priority now is to consolidate the party so that we can actually prepare to face the general election (GE15)” he said after its supreme council meeting on Sunday night (Oct 30).

According to Sng, the suspension of party’s secretary-general Nor Hizwan Ahmad and information chief Zakaria Abdul Hamid remains until the newly set up disciplinary committee headed by deputy president, Wong Judat, meet to discuss it.

“This suspension is not a priority now. Our priority now is the election. We will discuss their positions in two days’ time,” he said.

Sng said they had also deliberated on the seats for GE15. This includes Julau, and seats in Sabah, Perak, Selangor and Johor.

“We will issue the watikah. This will also be in two days’ time. I think what is important is that the watikah will be signed by me as things are clearer now on my position as the president of the party.

“I will meet with all senior party leaders and hopefully reach a resolution on which area which we are going to contest,” he added.

At the meeting they had also approved additional five supreme council members with two from Sabah and three from Sarawak.
