Hong Kong singer Kelly Chen and her son, 13, involved in car accident
Hong Kong celebrity Kelly Chen and her 13-year-old son were involved in a car accident on Friday (Dec 16).
The singer’s car reportedly collided head-on with another car at Kadoorie Avenue – a residential area located in Kowloon city – at around 11.20am.
Chen’s agent, Zhong Zhen, told Hong Kong media that both the 50-year-old artiste and her son were fine, though they did sustain minor injuries.
According to Sin Chew Daily, Chen had scratches on her face and hands as well as bruises on her legs. The same goes for her son.
Meanwhile, their chauffeur suffered an injury to his chest, though it isn’t severe.
All three of them were sent to Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment, and no one was arrested for the incident.
Shortly after the news broke out, Chen took to Instagram to assure her followers that she was alright.
“Everyone, don’t be frightened when you see the news. Don’t worry, I’m fine! It’s just scratches. I’ll be fine after taking a break. Thanks for your concern,” she wrote.
Her post has since gained over 400 comments, with plenty of people wishing her well. Among the well-wishers include Cantopop singer Ivana Wong, actress Sammi Cheng and former TVB star Linda Chung.
